Privacy policy

Sideline is a read-only fantasy football companion. It never makes moves in your leagues, and it doesn’t collect information about you.

What we collect

Nothing. Sideline has no account system. Its only server is a shared cache for trade values (below), which stores no personal data and keeps no logs. The developer does not receive, store or sell personal data, and the app has no analytics, advertising or tracking.

What stays on your phone

The Sleeper username you enter, the leagues you pick, your settings, and cached league data and simulation results are saved on your device so the app opens quickly.

Who the app talks to

To show your leagues, the app requests data directly from Sleeper (sleeper.app). Those requests include the username, league and user ids needed to look up your leagues, and, like any internet request, your IP address. Each service handles that under its own privacy policy.

Trade values: the app gets FantasyCalc values from Sideline’s cache (values.sidelinefantasyfootball.com, run on Cloudflare), which fetches them from FantasyCalc at most once every 3 hours and shares them between users. The request contains only the league format (dynasty or redraft, number of quarterbacks and teams, PPR) and, like any internet request, your IP address. The cache doesn’t log requests or store anything about you. If it can’t be reached, the app asks FantasyCalc (fantasycalc.com) directly.

App updates: when it opens, the app checks Expo’s update service (expo.dev) for a newer version. That request includes the app version, the platform and a random ID created when the app was installed. It is used only to deliver updates and isn’t linked to you or your leagues.

Deleting your data

Everything the app keeps is on your phone: Settings → Clear cached data removes cached data, and deleting the app removes everything. There is nothing stored elsewhere to delete.

Children

Sideline is not directed at children under 13 and collects nothing from anyone.
